There is a new Local Government Act 2020 that was passed by the Victorian Parliament in March 2020,

The second stage of the implementation is currently underway, with a series of policy changes required to be completed by 1 September 2020.

There is some concern about the draft policies and their impact on residents’ democratic rights and councilor’s ability to effectively represent their constituents.

We urge residents to have a look at the policies and make a submission on any or all of these policies by midnight on Thursday 30 July.
